About the role
Our internship gives law students and recent graduates a genuine introduction to legal practice at a full-service Tanzanian firm - real exposure, real supervision and a real chance to learn how the profession works.
Interns are placed with our practice teams and work alongside advocates on live matters, from research and drafting to attending court and client meetings. It is a hands-on programme designed to build practical skills and to help you decide where your legal career should go.
What you'll do
- Carry out legal research and prepare concise, well-structured memoranda
- Assist with drafting contracts, letters, pleadings and filings
- Help prepare for client meetings, hearings and transactions
- Support due-diligence and document-review exercises
- Attend court and client meetings with supervising advocates where appropriate
- Contribute to the firm's knowledge and precedent resources
Who we're looking for
- A current LLB student in the later years of study, or a recent law graduate
- Strong academic record and a keen interest in legal practice
- Good written and spoken English and Kiswahili
- Careful research, drafting and organisational skills
- A proactive, professional attitude and eagerness to learn
