Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the FIN & LAW website and client portal. By using this site you accept these terms.

No advocate-client relationship

The content of this website is provided for general information only. Reading it, submitting an enquiry, or registering for an event does not create an advocate-client relationship with FIN & LAW. An advocate-client relationship is established only by an express engagement confirmed by the Firm, normally in a signed engagement letter, and only after completion of our conflict-check procedures.

Not legal advice

Nothing on this website constitutes legal advice. Laws change and their application depends on specific facts. Do not act, or refrain from acting, on the basis of anything on this site without obtaining advice on your particular circumstances.

Use of the client portal

Portal accounts are personal to the client for whom they are created. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify the Firm immediately if you suspect unauthorised access. The Firm may suspend portal access to protect the confidentiality or integrity of client information.

Payments

Online invoice payments are processed by a third-party payment provider. Payment does not by itself create or expand any engagement; fees and scope of work are governed by the applicable engagement letter.

Intellectual property

The content, design and branding of this website belong to FIN & LAW or its licensors. You may view, download and print pages for your own reference, but you may not reproduce or exploit the content commercially without our written consent.

Acceptable use

You must not misuse this site - including attempting unauthorised access, interfering with its operation, or submitting unlawful, misleading or malicious content through its forms.

Third-party links

Where this site links to external websites, those sites are outside our control and we accept no responsibility for their content or practices.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FIN & LAW accepts no liability for loss arising from reliance on the general content of this website or from interruption or unavailability of the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania, and the courts of Tanzania have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from the use of this website.

Changes

We may revise these terms at any time; the current version will always be published on this page.
